Renowned investigative reporter Ben Hills begins interviews today about his new book Stop the Presses! How Greed, Incompetence (and the Internet) Wrecked Fairfax (ABC Books). The story of the decline of the once-mighty newspaper publisher is told in the words of the people who lived it – in the boardrooms and the newsrooms where the action happened – and asks this important question: what will the failure of Fairfax mean for the future of independent journalism and, in the end, democracy?
