Fussy eater in the family? No problem!

The team at the Little Darlings Childcare Centres in Sydney’s south have been pleasing tiny tastebuds since their doors opened in 2004. Sisters and co-owners Poppy Stamateris and Marika Gouveros struck gold when they asked their mother, Mary ‘Yia Yia’ Mitropoulos, to join the family business as its head chef; she’s been producing six meals a day, five days a week, for more than 3000 Little Darlings over 12 years, all of whom have declared Mary’s dishes delicious!

Now, finally, Mary’s clever culinary tips and tricks have been gathered together in one place, Yia Yia’s Kitchen Secrets, onsale in April. It’s adult food kids love too, using seasonal, local produce – and a host of clever kitchen hacks that only someone with Mary’s experience could unlock – to maximise taste and minimise waste.

Poppy, Marika and Mary will be sharing their advice for tasty, nutritious meals in Australian media throughout and April, and in person at Berkelouw in Cronulla at midday on Sunday 30 April. Take the kids along and try some of their yummy food for yourselves!
