01 Mar Perth Writers Festival 2015
Perth Writers Festival wrapped this week and what a festival it was. Congratulations to everyone involved. Noble Words highlights included (but were not limited to!):
- Literary editor of The West Australian William Yeoman in conversation with New Yorker Porochista Khakpour on her powerful fabulist 9/11 novel, The Last Illusion
- My Salinger Year‘s Joanna Rakoff, Paddy O’Reilly, Stella Prize-shortlistee Ellen van Neerven and Vogel Award-winner Danielle Wood on their teetering, taunting piles of unread books
- And inspirational words from Liz Gilbert, following a touching and emotional introduction from friend and fellow writer Rayya Elias, at the Perth Concert Hall.
Thanks to Bloomsbury Publishing in Sydney for inviting me along!
